Dave Carson was an early influence through years spent pouring over snow, skate and surf mags. To see his style come to prominence while working at Y&R was perfect timing for me. "Knowledge Keeps like Fish" was being built in the studio and Pete B was working directly with DC on the ORBS print work in L.A. It was an incredible agency and I soaked up the lack of tradition, due mostly to the online revolution taking place at the time.
